Superintendent Dr. Greg Taranto participated in a Leadership Washington County event at W&J College, joining regional leaders in a meaningful discussion on “Understanding the Importance of Acceptance & Belonging and our Education System.”

The sixth-grade students in Mrs. Lawrence’s reading class at CIS have been diving into the heroes of Greek mythology over the past few days.

The 6th-grade students in Mrs. Asbury’s reading classes at Cecil Intermediate had to investigate the different monsters in the myth world.

At Wylandville Elementary, Mrs. Surich’s students completed a hexagonal thinking activity this week, engaging in meaningful conversations about the connections between words, decimals and fractions.

January is School Board Recognition Month, and the Canon-McMillan School District would like to thank our Board of School Directors for their service to the entire community.

The Canon-McMillan Competition Cheer team won the 2026 PIAA 3A Small Division State Championship, securing the title with an outstanding performance.

Lilian Gearhart, a student at Cecil Intermediate School, has been recognized for her exceptional talent after her artwork was selected as the winning entry for January on the Office of Attorney General Calendar.

The students in Mr. Patterson’s 6th-grade class at Cecil Intermediate School participated in an engineering design challenge that required them to design and build a structure capable of holding a science book using the Engineering Design Process.

In the final leg of the three-week wrestling tournament, the Lady Macs claimed the top spot at the Powerade Tournament!
