POWER
School-Wide Positive Behavior Support- PBIS and Teamology
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, and is an evidenced-based approach that aims to promote positive behavior by providing a clear set of expectations and reinforcing positive actions. Teamology is a framework that focuses on building positive relationships and developing crucial social-emotional skills in students. Both frameworks are collaboratively used at Muse Elementary to create a positive building culture and enhance the overall development of students. Together, they help staff to establish a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Muse Elementary’s School-wide expectations are taught using the acronym “POWER” as seen below. Each expectation is aligned with teamology characters that have similar “superpowers.”
